Q: How much of my donation reaches the recipient?
A: AFAR FOUNDATION is operated by an all-volunteers team .No officers nor operatives of the foundation receive compensations. The operating costs of the Foundation in 2016 amounts to 4.6% of the total donations, well below the 14% range recommended by the World Association of NGOsand the actual 25-30% average of US non-profit charities.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: AFF is a registered non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductible. All benefactors will receive a receipt for their donation for this purpose.
Q: During my visit to Viet Nam I have encountered a person (or persons) that could benefit from your help. Can I refer the case(s) to your workers for further consideration?
A: As much as we like to help all in needs, our scope of activities is focused mainly on education so we’ll be happy to hear from you about such cases and will review it.
